The Dear flys and green heads were brutal. As we drove in, they swarmed around the car - there had to be 30 or 40 flying right up to the back window as we drove. on they way out, we killed over 10 that had gotten into the car when we opened the doors.
The storms of the winter deposited a ton of trash on the beach. It was kind of sad. It was pretty until we got over this little hill.
